Art


The art program is a vital link in developing the creativity and imagination of our students. Students are encouraged to experiment freely with a variety of media, especially "the found object". They are trained to observe the visual environment, to communicate through visual forms, and to develop outlets for the release of emotion. By introducing students to a variety of artists and styles throughout the ages and from around the world, students develop an appreciation for diverse cultures and aesthetics.  Whenever possible, we strive to seamlessly integrate our art program with areas of study within the curriculum, varying from science and social studies to history and mathematics.
