Student Council

The Student Council plays a very important role in every school. They help share students ideas, interests, and concerns with the teachers and principal. They help the students raise funds for school wide projects. They assist the community when they are in need of aid. Being on Student Council is something that will help our students become responsible and active members of the community.

The mission of the Student Council is to help promote school spirit within the student body and raise funds for the school at large.

The council meets weekly. The representatives share ideas, make decisions and report the Student Council news to their classes. They also get ideas from their classmates to bring back to Council meetings such as ideas for spirit days or which charities to support with the fund-raising money.

Student Council participants experience the rewards of service work, and learn that the actions of a few can make a difference for many.

Some fun days that the student council has planned include:

December 10 =Crazy Hat Day
 January 23 = Pajama Day
 February 27 = Game Day
 March 17 = Green Day
 April 1 = Backwards Day
 May 21 = Character Day
 June 11 = Animal Day

Here we are!  We have a Class Representative for Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third grades.  Our School Secretary comes from the Fourth grade.
Our Vice-President comes from Fourth grade as well. Our School President comes from the grade 5-6 classroom!
The whole school listened to speeches given by those that wanted to be on Student Council and then voted
using a secret ballot.
The Student Council likes to have crazy fun days at school each month!  For November the Student Council sponsored International Food Day.
Look at all the different kinds of foods that we brought in from our home countries!
