Request for Proposals (RFP)
Cleaning Services
Overview
Jerusalem American International School ("JAIS") invites qualified cleaning service providers to submit proposals for the provision of cleaning services for the school campus.
The selected provider will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Scope of Services
Daily Cleaning
The successful contractor shall provide cleaning services for all school buildings and common areas, including:
• Classrooms
• Offices
• Hallways and stairwells
• Restrooms
• Staff rooms
• Multi-purpose spaces
• Entrances and reception areas
Services shall include, at minimum:
• Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
• Emptying trash and recycling bins
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
• Cleaning desks, tables, and high-touch surfaces
• Cleaning doors, handles, switches, and railings
• Spot cleaning walls and glass
• Maintaining cleanliness of outdoor entrances and walkways
Daytime Support
The contractor shall provide daytime cleaning support for emergency situations, including:
• Student illness incidents
• Water leaks
• Spills
• Other sanitation-related emergencies
Periodic Services
Please provide separate pricing for:
• Interior and exterior window cleaning
• Summer deep cleaning
• Floor restoration and specialty floor care
• Pressure washing of exterior surfaces
• Additional services not included in the base proposal
Staffing
Vendors shall propose an appropriate staffing plan to meet the requirements of the school. The proposal should include:
• Number of personnel assigned
• Proposed work schedule
• Supervisory structure
• Coverage arrangements for absences and vacations
School Breaks and Holidays
Please specify:
• Services provided during school holidays
• Services provided during summer vacation
• Availability for special projects during non-school periods
Contract Term
The initial contract term shall be one year.
The first ninety (90) days shall constitute a probationary period during which JAIS may terminate the agreement upon written notice if service levels are not satisfactory.
Insurance and Compliance
The successful contractor shall provide evidence of:
• General liability insurance
• Employer liability/workers' compensation coverage
• Compliance with all applicable employment laws
• Any additional certifications required by law
Proposal Requirements
Interested vendors should submit:
• Company profile
• Relevant school or educational references
• Proposed staffing plan
• Service schedule
• Pricing proposal
• Description of quality assurance procedures
• Evidence of insurance coverage
JAIS reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and is not obligated to accept the lowest-priced submission.
