Part of giving our children a global education means realizing opportunities to how they can contribute to the world. JAIS and its families believe that community involvement is an important value to model to our children. Through these experiences, we all benefit with increased awareness, expansion of our horizons and building relationships within our community. We believe that we can all do more to be citizens of the world, including:

  • Giving back to our community through service projects
  • Participating in community events & supporting community members
  • Taking responsibility and action to preserve our environment

JAIS students are involved in giving back to our community through service projects. Staff and families are invited to recommend and participate in projects in our community. Here are some examples:

  • Serving meals
  • Collecting canned food, clothing & toys
  • Picking up trash and cleaning
  • Recycling
  • Making connections with students with different needs
  • Developing relationships with the local elderly population
  • Fundraising for international and local causes
  • Running events through our JAIS Middle school Leadership elective

Recent Service Projects: On-campus recycling, canned food drive, Senior Home visits, visits to the special school who share our campus and the JAIS leadership elective team spirit events.
