JAIS delivers a strong Early Years through Grade 9 program that supports our mission:  to educate and prepare students for engagement in a changing world.

JAIS believes in the importance of designing a program that provides essential learning experiences for its students. The academic program empowers students to become self-directed and curious learners who recognize their unique role in demonstrating responsibility and compassion. The student experience builds personal capacity to develop resilience and persistence so that learning opportunities are approached with adaptability and flexibility. Students engage in the program as critical and creative thinkers and solving problems innovatively and creatively. Students seek collaborative opportunities and use the power of words to skillfully communicate ideas, perspectives, and understandings.

JAIS follows an American curriculum with instruction in English. The curriculum is associated with well developed and rigorous standards. These standards reach into each discipline and target core academic skills and learning principles, developing a strong foundation in core disciplines: language arts, mathematics, social studies and science, and providing strong experiences in art, music and physical education. The scope and sequence of curriculum at JAIS ensure student build upon the previous year academics to develop a strong foundation as students move to the next level. JAIS is a small school but big on making sure all students achieve.

It is important for us that our teaching body reflects the diversity of our student body. To this end, we have a team of teachers who have qualifications from all over the world and bring with them unique skills, experiences, and passions.
