Physical education is an integral part of the JAIS education, that fosters each individual with the opportunity to achieve their potential, while acquiring life skills. The physical education program is designed to provide experiences which develop a life-long positive attitude toward physical activities and a well-balanced child.
Two important goals of our program are skill-related development, which includes age-appropriate development, and TGFU (Teaching Games for Fun and Understanding) .
Other goals of our program are appreciation and enjoyment of sport and exercise, as well as social, emotional and intellectual growth. We emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship and cooperation.
Swimming has been a part of our physical education program. Certified swimming instructors who are staff members of the Israel Goldstein Youth Village Pool teach swimming.
