JAIS Special EducationJAIS students who need learning support are provided with necessary reinforcement in all aspects of the JAIS program.  Students who need learning support gain admittance to JAIS and are given a Special Program Description (SPD), which is similar to an IEP in the USA.  The SPD acts as a guide to ensure that appropriate accommodations are made for each student.

The goal of the learning support program at JAIS is to provide support that enables students with learning challenges to experience success within the classroom setting.

Students will meet daily with the JAIS learning support teacher, individually or in small groups, in order to strengthen skills necessary for academic success. This program involves an additional fee.

Additionally, there are many services available in the Jerusalem community in order to further support JAIS students with special education needs.  Examples of providers that support JAIS students (at the expense of participating families) include:  Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Vision Therapists, Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, Behavioral Therapists, Psychiatrists, and Psycho-educational Evaluators.
